7 Steps for Creating Your Next Manual Speech

7 Steps for Creating Your Next Manual Speech

Here is a simple process for how to go about creating your speeches so that you meet the objectives of the project.

Step 1:  Read through the manual project at least once.

Step 2:  Brainstorm topic ideas - what would you like to talk about?  Pick one that seems like it lends itself well to the objectives of the project.  This is also a great ime to consult with your mentor to get their suggestions.

Step 3:  Create a rough draft of your speech - don't worry about format, etc.  Just get all our ideas down on paper.

Step 4:  Read through the manual project at least 2-3 more times.

Step 5:  Organize and refine your speech while keeping in mind the objectives of your current project.  How can you incorporate the techniques that are recommended in the manual project?

Step 6:  Practice, practice, practice!

Step 7:  Have fun entertaining your fellow Toastmasters while giving your speech...
