Yesterday Diane was the Contest Chair for our annual Evaluation Contest! We had three contestants, John, Paul, and Jen, who had the pleasure of evaluating Uriah's Ice Breaker speech. First place winner was John. Second place winner was Paul. John will go on to the Area 95 Evaluation contest on the 31st March. See the event calendar for details. |

Daniel was our lone guest today visiting us from a couple of other clubs in the area. Both Cory and Steve joined our club today. Welcome to Timber Talkers! Cory followed that up by being the unanimous winner of Table Topics! Last but not least, Sandie gave her 10th speech. A great destination to reach and well deserved. Congratulations Sandie! |

We had a fun-packed meeting Tuesday! First of all, we found out if we were a lion, otter, beaver, or a golden retriever. It appears that you may be entering the lion's den when you come to one of our meetings. Almost everyone was a lion! We found out how to communicate better with our fellow animals. Then, Jessica gave her Ice Breaker speech! Not only was it an Ice Breaker, but it was also a hot seat speech! Jessica only found out she was going to speak 20 minutes before doing it! Although this doesn't work for everyone, it can be an effective way to chop the anxiety down to size! Great job Jessica for stepping up and doing a fantastic job with your speech! Next week we have another treat. Sandie, our President, is giving her 10th speech! See you next Tuesday! |

We had 4 guests at our meeting today, 3 of them from a neighboring club. One of them, Amy, gave a wonderful table topic and even won the best table topic award!! She topped off the meeting by signing up as our newest member! Welcome Amy! Other recent members include Paul, Karri and Uriah! Welcome to you all!! Toastmasters Leadership Institute is this Saturday. John will be presenting a breakout session on how to paint better pictures with PowerPoint. There will be other sessions too.
