We had 4 guests at our meeting today, 3 of them from a neighboring club. One of them, Amy, gave a wonderful table topic and even won the best table topic award!! She topped off the meeting by signing up as our newest member! Welcome Amy! Other recent members include Paul, Karri and Uriah! Welcome to you all!! Toastmasters Leadership Institute is this Saturday. John will be presenting a breakout session on how to paint better pictures with PowerPoint. There will be other sessions too. Wow! What a year! We ended with a bang! Kate was our Toastmaster in the last meeting of the year. We had 4 guests present today, two of which intend to join. Paul signed up today, making him our newest member. Everyone from Timber Talkers wishes you a Happy New Year, and we hope to see you sometime in 2008. |

A surprise was awaiting almost all of the members of Timber Talkers today. The surprise was that we were having a hot seat meeting. Diane was our Toastmaster and let everyone present draw roles. This really shook the meeting up (in a great way) and added even more fun to our meeting. The roles drawn: Leissa Speaker 1 Lee Speaker 2 Charlie General Evaluator John Evaluator 1 Jessica Evaluator 2 Paul Table Topics Kate Table Topics Evaluator Sheryl Jokester Sandie Grammarian Jen Timer Karri Squawker We had 2 guests today, Paul and Karri, both of which plan on joining our club. We also gave a warm welcome to Jessica, our latest member! |
