What is a Leadership Master? The Leadership Master is a non-speaking role we have setup to evaluate tasks from the Competent Leadership manual. The Competent Leadership manual provides a number of opportunities for Toastmaster members to get written evaluation for roles such as Timer, Grammarian, Evaluator, General Evaluator, and Toastmaster. Why do we need another Role? There's a lot happening at our meetings. It is easy to forget to get credit for all of the roles we play. The Leadership Master is responsible for making sure everyone with a leadership role is covered by a written evaluation. The Leadership Master will check with the Timer, Grammarian, Evaluators, General Evaluator, and Toastmaster before the meeting starts and get their Competent Leadership manual so that they can write up a written evaluation. If there are a large number of written evaluations to do, the Leadership Master can have other Toastmasters help them. In effect, the Leadership Master is the coordinator for everything related to the Competent Leadership manual for that meeting. By placing this focus on the leadership track of Toastmasters we hope to engage our members more fully.
