Toastmasters:
Is not what most people think. Filmmaker Keva Rosenfeld summed it up so eloquently in his Day to Day piece on NPR this November, "Fun? I expected a room full of blowhards and social misfits. But instead it was an affable group of about 20. All ages. Highly self-motivated. Very punctual. Not like anyone I know."

LifeHack has an article on the 10 Skills You Need to Succeed at Almost Anything . Guess what #1 is? You guessed it, public speaking. Where better to practice than at Toastmasters. Come visit us!
Wikipedia has an informative entry on Toastmasters.
On June 1st 2008, a staff writer for the LA Times wrote an article about her experiences with Toastmasters.
Our Meeting:
We meet every Tuesday at noon at 9403-B SW Nimbus Ave., Beaverton, Oregon. We cram a lot into our 1 hour time slot. We are all ages, have lots of fun, are amazingly affable, and face the fear of public speaking head on!
Our Mission:
The mission of the Timber Talkers, Toastmasters Club #4421, is to provide a fun mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
